Bertoia Wire Chair by Harry Bertoia for Knoll Furniture. Circa 1950-1960. This design is currently in production. This chair is the earliest make- without the Bertoia stamp- for authentication it has the original rilsan coating.
The original coating is white and the black was applied later by the original owner and appears to be a high-quality automotive lacquer. This chair can be used as-is as it is was built exceptionally well, and the rilsan coating is unique in its durability.
After 50 years, the rilsan is chipping off. Looks wonderful in its authenticate distressed condition. Not sold as a set of two. Please ask for a price of 2.
